Evangeline Lilly of hit TV series Lost was born in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada on the 3rd of August 1979. Her father is a home economics teacher in Canada and her mother was a cosmetician and ran a daycare center. Evangeline attended the University of British Columbia where she attained a degree in international relations. It was during her time there that while in Kelowna, British Columbia she was discovered by Ford modeling agency. While she didn’t really want to be a model she signed up anyway to help pay her university tuition fees and expenses.
Evangeline has achieved a lot already and is fluent in French, loves ice skating, canoeing, kayaking, snowboarding and rock climbing. She can also frequently be seen surfing with fellow Lost star and boyfriend Dominic Monaghan.
Evangeline founded and ran a world development and human rights committee at her university. She has lived under a grass hut in the jungles of the Philippines with a missionary group, and has been a volunteer for children's projects since the age of 14.
